"Beyond Facebook, Google and Amazon: the rise of Hummie"

Revolutionizing the Service Industry: The Hummie Effect

Amazon and Facebook have seemingly conquered every corner of the retail and social networking landscapes; however, there lies a vast, untapped expanse—the service sector. Despite the service industry accounting for roughly 80% of the U.S. GDP (Graph 1), it remains a realm largely untouched by the digital revolution that has reshaped the goods market.

The Hummie Chapter: A Vision of Transformation

Enter Hummie, a Silicon Valley startup poised to redefine the landscape of the high cost service industry. Hummie's mission is born out of a critical observation: while platforms like Amazon have revolutionized how we buy goods, when it comes to services the platform fails. Similarly, while Facebook has mastered the art of connecting people, making hundreds of billions of annual income out of the networks we build, it provides no economic benefit for its users.

A Dual-Purpose Platform: Social Connectivity and Service Excellence

Hummie is not just another startup. It's a visionary platform that combines the power of social networking with the untapped potential of the service industry. By focusing on high-cost services—ranging from real estate transactions to solar energy to legal advice, and more—Hummie aims to create a one-stop-shop for all service needs, ensuring quality, reliability, and accessibility.

High Cost Family and Business Expenditures: the Challenges

Navigating big-ticket decisions is complex and oftentimes overwhelming, and decisions for high cost family and business expenditures are also generally less frequent. Past experiences offer little to no help because they very much have changed over the past couple of decades. In this digital era, the questions of whom to trust, where to begin, and how to find reliable service providers and necessary information for crucial decisions are more important than ever.

Current Systems Have Fallen Behind: High Marketing Fees and More

Top digital marketers Google and Facebook, use an auction based system which sells customer information to the highest bidder. In the high cost service industries, this system leads to thousands of dollars in marketing fees per transaction and adding these fees to the end consumer’s project whether they know it or not. Also, these giant marketers serve only the entity buying the contact information, and implement no real method of quality control, and do not provide any support to consumers. Basically, anyone, regardless of experience or expertise can buy your contact information and attempt to win your project as long as they have the deepest pockets.

Hummie Solution: One-Stop-Shop Service Platform

At its core, Hummie creates a one-stop-shop service platform for high cost family and business expenses — ranging from real estate transactions, solar energy, home improvement projects, to legal advice, and much more. Hummie connects families and businesses with the preselected best service suppliers, and provides continuous performance monitoring to ensure consistent, high quality and reliable service. More importantly, the Hummie platform also provides a wealth of educational content, including live and recorded sessions with top experts, all free of charge, making Hummie an invaluable resource for anyone looking to make informed, high-stake decisions.

A Key Secret Disclosed: Marketing Fees Amount to Thousands per Deal

Believe it or not, almost every product or service we buy is marked up to cover marketing and sales expenses. The catch is that the specifics of these costs are often known only to a select few deeply involved in the marketing of these products or services.

Even though most people do not realize their existence, as a service provider platform, we aim to shed light on these hidden fees. For high cost family and business services, marketing expenses can soar to thousands of dollars for each transaction. Here's why.

Consider Google. Service providers pay a fee known as cost per click (CPC) to drive traffic to their websites. Keywords related to high cost services tend to attract high CPCs, ranging from e.g. $10 and above (Graph 2). To see for yourself, try searching for “highest CPC keywords in the USA.” Typically, it takes over 100 clicks to get one single service contract, resulting in customer acquisition costs of $1,000 or more. Services generally are associated with and among the highest CPC.

Facebook ads follow a similar pricing structure, using a term called CPM, cost per mille, or the cost per 1,000 advertisement impressions on a web page. Meanwhile, traditional media outlets incur even greater marketing expenses, contributing to their declining market share compared to Google and Facebook.

Word of Mouth (WOM): A Dilemma

In the world of marketing, word of mouth is the notable exception, often valued for its authenticity whilst typically treated free of charge. Service providers usually view word of mouth as a testament to their reputation and quality of service, despite its high value in both digital platforms and the traditional media.

Occasionally, referrers and service providers may agree to compensate referrals at market rates, but the lack of tools to facilitate such transactions can strain relationships and prove unsustainable. The legal complexities and the challenges in tracking referrals further complicate the effective utilization of word of mouth, preventing its fair and widespread adoption.

Better Services, Better Prices: Revolutionizing WOM

Hummie provides powerful and reliable tools to track a project for its entire lifecycle, thus referral awards are guaranteed and will be paid when the project is completed.  Hummie operates on the principle that information is valuable. Hummie introduces a groundbreaking referral system, turning word-of-mouth into a powerful tool to lower service costs and benefit consumers. Instead of paying high costs to the marketers, why not pay our users directly? By leveraging word of mouth over digital or traditional marketing, Hummie refunds thousands of marketing fees per project back to consumers or its users directly for their referrals. This system not only incentivizes users to share but also ensures that quality service providers receive the recognition and client base they deserve.

Hummie Rewarding System: A Win-Win for Everyone

Hummie's rewards are derived from the marketing fees that would typically go to platforms like Google, Facebook, or other advertising channels such as TV or newspapers. These fees, often amounting to thousands per successful project, represent a substantial portion of the hundreds billions of dollars in revenue these companies earn from advertising annually. This highlights the significant size of marketing fees in the service industries (Graph 3).

To effectively allocate these substantial marketing funds, Hummie has established a reward system designed to nurture a balanced ecosystem for all involved stakeholders.

Regardless of the industry, the total fees for any service transaction are categorized into marketing fees and professional service fees. Both fees are project based, i.e., fees are only available and paid out when services are completed. Also, fees are only paid out to people participating in the service and paid at completed projects per role such as closer or trainer. This is in distinctive contrast to the current practice, where large amounts of marketing fees are paid to marketing platforms who do not participate in a specific service project. Hummie’s rewarding system provides much needed incentives to encourage better services and accountability.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring Overview

In the current economic landscape, the valuation of information, particularly when linked to significant family or business-related expenditures, cannot be overstated. Hummie acknowledges this through a robust referral reward program designed to incentivize the sharing of valuable insights within its app ecosystem. This program is distinguished by its generous reward structure, with average payouts reaching $2,000, varying by size of project, industry, and sale price. Currently, Hummie covers family and business service industries such as solar energy and storage, real estate buying or selling, insurance such as life insurance and health insurance, annuities, home or office innovations, immigration, study abroad, and growing. Hummie is creating the first high cost service marketplace for families and businesses.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring Commercial

For larger commercial endeavors, the rewards can escalate to tens of thousands of dollars, underscoring the program's scalability and its alignment with the varying magnitudes of user referrals. Hummie is presently engaged in processing commercial projects with referral awards exceeding $10,000, demonstrating the platform's capability to handle substantial transactions and reward contributors accordingly. This approach is predicated on the philosophy that the individuals providing actionable information should be fairly compensated, as their contributions are invaluable to the ecosystem's success.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring Other Industries

For services Hummie currently does not cover, users can submit a special service that needs help and Hummie platform will use its network to help. All awards in the Hummie platform are project based income. Awards are paid only after the project is completed and Hummie receives the project income. There are no specific licensing requirements for becoming a referral agent or agency. Anyone can become a referral agent.

The referral mechanism is designed for inclusivity and ease of use, allowing users to recommend businesses, properties, or services from their personal or professional networks. This broad eligibility criteria ensures that anyone, from family members to colleagues, can be referred, including the referrer referring themselves. This self-referral option maintains the reward structure's integrity, treating it with the same level of seriousness as external referrals. Our self-referral indicates the goal of the platform: better services and better prices. Consumers will receive marketing fee refunds, substantially lowering their service fees.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring Multiple Services Simultaneously

A user can purchase or refer multiple services, and for second or third projects for the same client each project must have a separate submit form.  Hummie will keep the credit for referrer for one year as long as the referred customer makes the purchase or purchases within one year from the date forms were submitted.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring and Transferring Rewards

For people who want to refer but do not want a referral fee, they can simply refer their contact to the Hummie App, and inform them to download the App and simply refer themselves to keep the marketing refund, or inform Hummie to donate the award to a non-profit or research organizations on behalf of the referrer.

High Return on Investment (ROI): How to Submit Referral

Submitting a referral generally only takes a few minutes, making it one of highest ROI endeavors. The process is streamlined through a concise form that, despite its brevity, captures essential details about the referral. Allowing referrer’s contact information being shared with the referee is encouraged to facilitate higher conversion rates, based on empirical evidence suggesting that transparency in the referral source boosts project initiation and success rates. However, we keep this optional in the case that the referrer does not want the referee to know his/her involvement.

Additionally, the platform offers a unique feature allowing referrers to schedule appointments on behalf of their referrals, thereby enhancing the referral's engagement and service experience.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring Expectations for Payout Timeline

It is important to note the temporal diversity of projects within the Hummie platform. While some projects, like home purchases, may conclude within a short span, e.g., 21 days, others, such as new construction, could extend over a year. Hummie is committed to supporting its users throughout the project duration, by providing regular project status updates to maintain transparency, and by leveraging its network of industry experts to expedite processes whenever feasible. However, the platform also sets realistic expectations regarding payout timelines, emphasizing that while some projects may yield rapid rewards, others may necessitate a longer timeframe to reach completion.

Information is Valuable: Incentives for Referring Success Rates

Although word of mouth referrals generally have a higher success rate, empirical data showed that high cost projects' real success rate falls anywhere from 5% to 10%. That means in the worst case scenario, every 20 referrals leads to one successful project and payout. Our network of experienced professionals will help achieve success rates higher than market averages, and we will perform continuous performance monitoring.

In summary, Hummie's referral reward program represents a comprehensive effort to monetize the sharing of valuable information within its user base, providing a structured yet flexible framework for earning substantial rewards through referrals. This initiative not only incentivizes the contribution of actionable insights but also reinforces the platform's dedication to fairness, transparency, and user empowerment in the digital marketplace.

Empowering Users: Monetize Your Social Network

Like any platform, the bigger the user base, the more powerful the platform’s ecosystem will be. Hummie encourages and incentivizes existing users to recruit new users. This is particularly important since it will require a lot of help from Hummie’s users to make the transformation away from the current corrupted marketing systems possible.

There are four types of users in the Hummie platform: consumers, referrers, licensed professionals, and businesses. Anyone can recruit new users using the powerful tools provided by the Hummie App.

With the Hummie app, users can effortlessly connect their friends and family with top-tier service professionals, earning significant referral rewards or refunds in the process. Users are also incentivized to spread the word about Hummie to friends, families, and colleagues who might benefit from the Hummie ecosystem, either as a receiver or a provider, to improve service quality. This approach democratizes the benefits of the digital economy, allowing everyone to participate and profit from their networks.

Growth Paths: Professional and Non-Professional Users

Every user, licensed or not, can sign up, login, and use the App including submitting a project, access the resources and events pages, and more, all completely free. Any user can become an agent simply clicking the apply icon and selecting apply as an agent. If you are a licensed professional, when you apply as an agent you must check the licensed radio button, and upload a copy of your professional license and/or certificate. Once your professional license is verified you will be listed as Certified. Certified professionals can be hired by any agency to perform professional services and receive professional service income.

Anyone who completes three deals and directly recruits fifty team members will instantly be promoted to referral agency status, and earn huge passive rewards basically doubling the referral rate! An example of this is as follows, you refer someone as an agent and when the project completes you will receive $2,000. After becoming a referral agency when you are who referred someone when the project completes you will receive $4,000. Also, as a referral agency, when one of your team members refers someone and they receive $2,000, you as the referral agency will also receive $2,000.

If you hold a professional license and successfully apply as an agency you will receive general agency status after verification and after successfully completing three projects and recruiting fifty direct team members. Once you are a general agency, members on your team who submit a project that you specialize in will automatically be assigned to you using trace up. In addition to this, the Hummie app will automatically be able to start assigning new projects to you.

If you are a business owner, you can choose either the licensed professional or non-professional growth path. As mentioned, once you have completed three deals, and you have fifty directly recruited team members you will earn the same as your referring team member every time they complete a project, or if you submit the project you will earn double! The average referral award to the referrer is $2,000 so that means huge passive income, when a team member refers a project and it completes they receive $2,000 and you receive $2,000, if you refer the project you receive $4,000. Professional businesses, those with licenses in the services industry that we serve, can apply for general agency status as long as they have completed three deals and fifty signups.

Licensed professionals or businesses are categorized by industry, but one user having licenses in multiple industries is allowed and encouraged.

Make Bigger Influences: Incentives for Recruiting

Hummie provides multiple incentives for recruiting:

Firstly, the direct recruiting award: the most apparent recruiting awards are the recruiting fees, which Hummie pays, amounting to 10% of the direct recruit’s project income in the first year. Hummie ceases to pay recruitment awards once the user passes the one year mark, and recruiting awards apply only to direct recruits. For example, A recruits B, B recruits C; C generates project income. Within the first year, B will receive 10% of all of C’s first year project income, but A is not entitled for any recruiting awards of C’s income.

Hummie does not support multiple level marketing, and Hummie will never support multiple level marketing. Hummie incentivizes, rewards, and encourages members to build out their own business agency, and to earn additional income as an agency.

Obviously, recruiting a business will dramatically increase recruiting income as businesses normally have higher revenue than individuals. Professional recruiting income on average stands at the second highest, since professionals will have income sources including referral and project service income. Recruiting a highly productive influencer is also proven to be very lucrative.

Secondly, referral awards will be doubled when a referral agent becomes a referral agency.

Team development - any user can immediately recruit new signups. The Hummie App uses a tree structure to record a user’s team. Direct signups are direct branches; branch user’s recruits become sub-branches and so on and so forth. The entire direct branches and sub-branches form the team of the user. Only directly recruited users' information are visible to the team owner, and team structures are permanent and will never change over time. For example, A recruits B, B recruits C, C recruits D; and so forth. B, C and D belong to A’s team.

Even though Hummie App gives credits to recruiting, rules are in place to simulate real business environments. For example, when individuals grow high in sophistication, they tend to start their own businesses. In light of this, an opt out rule is introduced to accommodate business growth. Based on the rule, the aforementioned user A cannot make any income from its team under the following three conditions:

One year rule: recruiting awards are available only for the first year;

Direct recruit only rule: 10% recruitment award only applies to directly recruited team members;

Opt out rule: team members with a higher or equal income rate will automatically opt out the team in terms of income, even though the team structure remains the same. For example, everyone starts as a referral agent; when user A is a referral agent, A can only make recruitment income, but cannot make any additional project income from A’s team. This is obvious since A is not entitled to a referral agency bonus rate. When A becomes a referral agency, A can make the additional referral award by equally sharing the referral award with anyone in A’s team as a referral agent. However, let's say C becomes a referral agency, then A cannot make any referral agency income from C and C’s team.

Financial benefits of building a team are apparent.

For example, a referral agency can split the referral reward equally with any one with a referral agent status, no matter if this agent is a direct branch or sub-branch user. Hummie App will automatically trace up to find the higher rate agency. For example, D as a referral agent submits a project, App will automatically trace up to A if A is a referral agency and neither B nor C is a referral agency. However, if C is a referral agency, then App will automatically assign C as referral agency; neither B nor A will receive any referral agency income from D’s project no matter whether A or B is a referral agency or not.

Auto trace up for professional services: the App will do a separate auto trace up to find the general agency. For example, let's assume A is a general agency in the solar industry. B is a referral agency but not a general agency in the industry of a project submitted by D. When D, a referral agent submits a solar project, App will trace up to find B as the referral agency, while A as general agency for this solar project. Professional services are defined by industry, the same way as the General Agency. The General Agency can also hold licenses in multiple industries.

Multiple Tools: Recruiting

The Hummie App provides multiple tools for recruiting. After registering, all users will have their own unique recruiting link and QR code. Users can use their own unique QR code or referral link to recruit in any capacity such as print or social media. They can place their QR code or link in any of their own marketing materials as they choose.

A Platform for All: an Ecosystem

Hummie caters to a diverse user base, offering benefits across the board. It creates an ecosystem where everyone wins and grows through unlimited opportunities.

Consumers enjoy superior services, better prices and much needed free and valuable education. Referrers get paid thousands of dollars per referral, the highest reward in the market. Professionals gain access to a reputable platform, receive high quality customer leads, and do not pay anything until the project has been funded. Businesses build on growing customer bases, turn customers and influencers into ambassadors, thus increasing revenue.

Besides, Hummie platform provides the tools and ecosystem for anyone to be successful in supporting the service industries.
